Creative Morning Work

I wrote my second Morning Musical Meditation for Children called “Always Precious and Valuable” and the song to go with it called “Little Things” and I practiced it.
It has phrases in five and four measures and the tune changes from verse to verse.

Then, since I had folded the shop rags and found a dish towel amongst them, I noticed the woven peppers for the pattern, and I have now drawn them.  I used something “H”  to draw the outline, and 6B to give me some lines to smudge with the thing that does that (?).  I went back with 3H for some lighter lines to smudge.  I started curving the lines to give it more contour.  I left highlights for where the light was shining on them. (That was also woven into the dishtowel pattern.)

My angle of the two peppers is different.  I watched my hand draw them that way and wondered why.
