Felting Soap

I am watching several videos on how to “felt” soap.  It creates a soft wool covering over a bar of soap, which then acts as a washcloth.  Some of the coverings have wonderfully creative and imaginative designs in them.

You can look up how to felt soap on on YouTube.

It is so relaxing to see another homesteading technique.  This one is also fairly kid friendly (the felting needles are sharp, so there are even leather finger coverings to protect fingers).

If you want to make your own homemade soap to go in them, that is another homesteading skill.

Felting soap is a tactile experience, has a great scent from the soap, has beautiful colors to enjoy, as it engages so many of the senses.

This is a such fun activity to do in community.
