Teaching Doll

I am beginning to make a doll which will “help” me teach early childhood music.

I am developing my materials, music reading readiness books and songs, etc. so they will work on-line.

Since I don’t have my usual pre-schoolers to teach directly, I have decided that the doll can help me create an audience.

I will see how this works as I go along.

In the meantime, here are the beginnings of the doll.

I have cut out the pieces and stuffed the arms and legs.

Next I will stuff the body and add an embroidered face, hair and make the clothes.

I am looking for a doll’s red straw hat, as well, to match the one I wear when I am teaching.

This will be a fun adventure.

I have made the first continuous set of a classroom program and will learn how to put it in a Keynote (Apple’s version of Powerpoint) file along with how-to photos.

Onward!
